An incomplete world
Well I saw this exhibition on the weekend at AGNSW and you know what...it should have been called An incomplete exhibition. Sure there were a few noteworthy works such as Andreas Gursky, Gerhard Richter and Cindy Sherman but to be honest it was the usual line up of the usual suspects (a good 10 years late) and they were very thin on the ground. Well I know we are in Australia where most things that finally get here are about 10 years past their prime but still. Please. It highlights something important....an exhibition of works drawn from 'one of the finest corporate art collections' leads us to one place...nowhere. Same place the suits are. What is it but a thinly disguised marketing campaign. Cheers UBS thanks for caring about art. I hope your investment pays off.
